“That’s a good idea.”
When you hear a good idea, sometimes you’ll want to act on it. Which is good. Listening to your intuition and getting a sense for what you see as a good idea can move you in a forward direction if you take action to pursue that idea.
But observing something as a good idea does not impact your life unless you take action. And if you take action, but then pull back, or stop, then you may not be much further along.
That’s because good ideas are something that you can do or should do. Ideas are good, but beliefs are better.
Beliefs are strong. If an idea is a table top, your beliefs are the four legs that make that table sturdy. They are what make your good idea something that you must do. Where the reasons to do so are so compelling you can’t envision doing anything else.
Three beliefs for you to consider with your next good idea:
- I must take action
- I, not anyone else, am responsible for taking action
- I can take action
Form a belief behind your next good idea, and watch how far you will soar.
