Part of the journey of pursuing and realizing your goals is learning how to be assertive.

Once you know what you want, asserting your wants is what gets you where you want to go.

Assertiveness means having a point of view and making decisions. It means clarifying and sharing what you want and why.

Assertiveness isn’t a bad thing as long as you balance it with compassion for other people’s goals and wants, and create space and support for them to assert themselves too. Two people asserting their wants and goals while supporting each other to assert is a beautiful thing.
